The college presidential elections were completed last night! I was one of the three candidates and...
I didn't win!
Mixed feelings - it is hard to lose something and not feel some rejection and ego-bruising, especially in a relatively small electorate that one continues to live in.
But the winner is a lovely person, who will do really well. And the job would have been a major time-consumer, which is the most valuable commodity here.
So moving on.
Tonight, was involved in a very, very weird experience. The 'web-pastor' of the online church I am on placement with was formally authorised: read all about it: News article
I typed/cut and pasted all the bishop's words, took the photos, sipped the wine and nibbled the cheese. It was all very strange, with a full, official Church of England order of service done in a chat room, with people from all over the world typing their replies in! And only three of in the same real space (Russell's study!)

Commiserations and congratulations... I 'worshipped' through the Church of Fools last year and found it a very interesting experience.
