As I write, England (our new expat home) appear to be on the brink of winning the ashes against Australia. From what I (as a non-cricketer) have been able to see, the whole thing has been an incredible roller-coaster ride, ups and downs as the weeks and skill (or lack of it) have thrilled or desolated the crowds.

All very interesting stuff.

Feels very similar to our process of getting here - we are now on the brink of reforming into something totally new, after a few years of very similar ups or downs. It seemed as I had to hear the same thing (called to be a priest) over and over until I was willing to accept that it could be true.

Woody Allen: "History repeats itself. It has to; nobody listens the first time around."

Picture: Newton takes a very long time to finally get the idea of gravity...

Target practice on Isaac Newton

So - keep on listening - the meaning is out there, if you hear it often enough. Let's face it - even England can win the ashes, so anything is possible...
